2015 will be held on Saturday, July 11th at 6:00PM. “Dancing under the Stars” will be the optional theme for NIGHT IN VENICE 2015. The theme is just a suggestion. You are free to select any theme you wish. The Night In Venice Committee began providing suggestions a few years ago when it began receiving numerous requests for decorative ideas. Grandstand seating is set up along the street ends. Seating is FREE but get there early!
Tickets are also available to purchase to view the boat parade from the Bayside Center located at 5th & Bay Avenues. Admission for Children 12 & under is $3.00; Adults are $7.00. Gates open at 4:00pm. (Sorry no parking; use of free trolley is encouraged). Tickets for the Bayside Center go on sale Monday, June 1st and are available on a first come first serve basis and go fast. Tickets may be purchsed by cash, check or charge at: City Hall, 861 Asbury Avenue, Monday thru Sunday, 9:00am-7:00pm There is limited bleacher seating and you may bring your own chairs and blankets.The Good Tymes Band will play from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Children’s activities include crafts, games and face painting. Gates open 4:00pm and the parade begins at 6:00pm. Bring your own picnic baskets. NO ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED.
Free Parking and shuttle service will be available beginning at 4:00pm at the following locations: Airport Parking Lot-25th & Bay Avenue Soccer Field at Tennessee Avenue Community Center-1735 Simpson Avenue Shuttles will drop off spectators at street ends where they can watch the parade and return them to the parking lots afterward. The shuttle also drops off at the Bayside Center. The service is FREE and will be available until 10:00pm. Parking restrictions begins 12:00 midnight Friday July 10th through 12:00 midnight Saturday July 11th for the following locations: BOTH sides of Bay Avenue between 16thStreet and 24thStreet and the EAST SIDE of Bay Avenue between 14th Street and 16th Street. Also included, W16th St, W17th St. & W18th St. Will have parking restrictions in place. The Ocean City Police Department asks for your cooperation in observing this temporary
Please see that your vehicle is removed from the restricted parking area prior to 12:00 midnight, Friday July 10th. Cars remaining in the restricted area after 12:00 midnight Friday July 10th, will be subject to towing at the owners expense. Parking regulations will be strictly enforced. Violators will be ticketed and in severe cases the vehicles will be towed in public safety is affected. This is to allow for safe passage of all pedestrian and vehicle traffic and emergency vehicle access to isolated areas of the bayfront.
The City Ordinance prohibiting open alcoholic containers on the public right of way, streets and sidewalks, will be enforced. Make sure that your guests stay on your property. If traveling between locations do not have an open container of alcohol. Also underage consumption of alcohol will not be tolerated. PLEASE DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE. BE RESPONSIBLE AND MAKE SURE THAT EVERYONE GETS HOME SAFELY. Both car drivers and boat captains must refrain from drinking alcohol. The Ocean City Police Department will be patrolling the streets and directing traffic. The bay will be heavily patrolled by the U.S. Coast Guard, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Marine Police and Night In Venice volunteer patrol boats.
Please be respectful of your neighbors. The City Ordinance prohibits excessive noise after 10pm. Please keep your music down to an acceptable level.
